Hey, it's Glenn!
I'm currently a fourth year doctoral candidate in Organic Chemistry at the University of Missouri in Columbia, MO. I gained my love of science (especially chemistry) during my elementary years in New Orleans, LA. To some degree I followed in my father's footsteps. He was an a Criminalist (specifically an analytical chemist) for the New Orleans Police Department.
While I'm not looking to work for the police after completion of my PhD program, I do want to foster a love for science in kids and adults. My ultimate goal is to create year-long and summer science programming that ​caters to underrepresented minorities (racial, economic, etc).
This blog was originally created as a solution to online programming during the COVID-19 pandemic. However, I want this to be an outlet for parents, students, teachers, friends and family to discover a love of science and learn about new techniques and drugs being discovered.
